Black Noise

A term used in statistics and frequency modulation to describe specific varieties of noise in signals or statistical samples. Black noise may refer to complete silence, or a complete lack of noise, or noise at a frequency that cannot be heard or measured, but still affects the environment or the outcome of statistical experiments.
